Adult Karate Programs

Adults - ages 14 and over
Younger adults may still face the peer pressure situations as the juniors, but at this age they are beginning to master their own destiny more, and the focus shifts to adult martial arts training.  Physical activity, and stress relief is a primary focus for many to slow down the aging process.  Aerobic, anaerobic, stretching, and resistance training are given practical application through self-defense.  Whether instruction begins for stress relief, weight control, or self-defense, the strengthening of the mind, body, and spirit that couples success throughout the martial arts training will have astounding positive effects on all aspects of a students adult life, be it work, family, social, or just personal.

Junior Program
Juniors (ages 6-13):  In addition to the foundation taught at the pre-school age juniors are more often exposed to a myriad of peer group social confrontations.  Social class or “cliques”, peer pressure, and bullies just to name a few.  Instruction in Eclectic Karate® builds a mental as well as physical strength that provides teens and pre-teens the self-confidence and conviction needed to do the right thing in those situations.  Their martial arts training is expanded to more practical applications as they often face more situations.  Juniors are taught to recognize and avoid situations before they occur and to use their martial arts training only if they absolutely need to.


Fitness Boot Camp
A goal oriented program of 2, 4 or 6 week durations. On a rotating schedule, each cycle of training is different to allow the student not to plateau their results. The program utilizes core, calisthenics, weights, cardio/aerobics and Karate techniques. At the beginning and end of each cycle is a fitness test to track individual progress.

Fitness Kick boxing
A fast paced aerobic and toning class that incorporates self defense techniques and striking from our Karate system. The program utilizes calisthenics, core training and weight training. Proper striking of equipment is taught as well. 

 

Specialized classes for law enforcement
Our system’s foundation is  the four basic ranges of combat – kicking, punching, trapping and grappling. All parts of the system integrate like cogs and gears in a machine. This creates a well rounded martial artist who responds to all situations prepared and can transition easily from one to the other. In fact, our motto “In Omnia Paratus” states the same. This Latin phrase translates to “In all things prepared”.

Years before the introduction of the now highly popular UFC and MMA, Curtin and his system specialized in mixed martial arts as a universal approach to training. This has brought us to the forefront of martial training and we are sought out by many professionals for this very reason. We have and continue to train many individuals and organizations such as Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement as well as military personnel and volunteer organizations including the Guardian Angels.
